My HTC Windows phone does not update my current location 'every few hours and when the battery runs low' as it should. I have the setting turned on properly to do so. I can 'manually' find my phone location just fine but it never updates the location. I've checked the 'Find My Phone' many times and the location and date/time is always the last time I manually found the location. I have contacted Microsoft Windows Phone, HTC and Verizon and all have walked me through checking that I have 'location' turned on (obviously I do because I can manually find the phone fine), 'Save my phone's location periodically and before the battery runs out' properly checked (I do), and done full factor resets with each support and started over all with no help. The website says save location periodically means the location is stored '..every few hours'. All the support people for all of these companies have had me check the obvious above and then simply sent me to one of the other companies for additional support but none of them know the problem nor where I go from here. Saving the phone location '..every few hours' is an excellent service for finding lost/stolen phones that get turned off but have a current location saved. But, it does not work. Any ideas? Also, I've asked Microsoft, why not also have your 'current location' saved every time a phone is shut down for that very reason; it's not rocket science and seams like a very simple programming feature that should be added to the regular shut down process. I asked Microsoft support to pass the suggestion on to development but they said they can't pass on any development comments..WHAT.. crazy.
